Troop 483 Boy Scouts of America Since 1954, Troop 483 has been dedicated to helping boys become young men through different life experiences and the teaching of useful skills. The troop meets at the United Methodist Church in Glendora, which is located at the corner of Bennett and Vista Bonita. We meet most Monday nights at 7:30 PM. Currently, we have about 40 registered scouts in the troop. Scouts are divided into 6 different patrols, a scout leadership patrol and 5 regular scout patrols. We are a very active troop with numerous outings. Annual events include: snow skiing water-skiing, rock climbing, backpacking, car camps and family camps. Our Troop performs a lot of community service which includes (but not limited to) putting up flags for the city of Glendora on most holidays and maintaining the trails in our local foothills. Troop 483 has posted the flags for the city for over 20 years! |
