What is this web site all about?
This is the troop’s informational web site. It’s main function is to keep the Scouts and parents of Troop 483 informed of the latest events and provide links to valuable information. The heart of this site is the Calendar page, you will find our activities, and all information related to the activities, there.
On the Calendar page, you can search for event dates for any month or year you want! This makes scheduling very easy for Scouts and their families.
As a parent, how do I get involved with the Troop 483 activities?
Come to any Monday night meeting! Parents are also welcome to attend the committee meetings as well. There are many ways to get involved and many positions to fill. We are a volunteer organization and appreciate any and all help. There is no better way to be involved with your kids lives than to be a part of Troop 483’s adult leadership.
What is Boy Scouting all about?
For over 100 years, Scouting programs have instilled in youth the values found in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Today, these values are just as relevant in helping youth grow to their full potential as they were in 1910. Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives.

My son has food allergies, what steps need to be taken?
You need to notify his patrol leader, and a senior patrol member right away. You may want to notify the leaders of any outings he goes on as well. Patrol leaders list is here.
